Staff with the Northwestern Health Unit are reporting an additional 13 COVID-19 cases today.
They include five cases in the Emo area, four in the Sioux Lookout region, two in the Kenora area, one in the Rainy River health hub and one in the Dryden area.
Follow-ups with those involved and their contacts have started according to protocols, and anyone identified as a potential contact for these cases will be reached directly by public health staff.
Today marks the 53rd straight day of new COVID-19 cases announced by the NWHU. There are currently 61 active cases, including 32 in the Sioux Lookout area, 16 in Emo, 6 in both Dryden and Kenora, and 1 case in the Rainy River region.
Everyone is asked to assume COVID-19 is spreading in your community, and to immediately self-isolate, get tested and remain in isolation until your test results are known.
