For the 26th day in a row, the Northwestern Health Unit is reporting new cases of COVID-19 across the district.
In total, 15 new cases were reported today. 10 in the Kenora Health Hub area and five in the Sioux Lookout Health Hub area.
Provincewide, 1,829 new cases were reported on Saturday.
Follow up with the persons involved and their contacts have started according to protocol. Anyone who is identified as a contact for these cases will be contacted directly.
NWHU recommends that everyone assume COVID-19 is in their community and practise preventive measures like physical distancing, wearing a mask in enclosed public spaces and when physical distancing is a challenge, good hand hygiene, and not touching their face. Anyone who has symptoms, or who has been in contact with a positive case, should self-isolate and get tested.
