Drugs with an estimated street value of approximately $190,000 were among a number of items seized by Dryden OPP following the execution of a search warrant in Dryden.

Police say on Tuesday, May 17, members of the Dryden Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) with assistance from Treaty 3 Police Service (T3PS) and Nishnawbe Aski Police Service (NAPS) executed a search warrant at a Pitt Avenue residence in the City of Dryden.

As a result of the warrant, several items were seized including, three firearms, brass knuckles, cell phones, digital scales, packaging materials and a large quantity of Canadian currency. Also seized was a large quantity of Crystal Meth, Cocaine, and Fentanyl with an estimated street value of approximately $190,000.

Three Thunder Bay residents were charged with a number of offences and are being held in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

Chris Beepath, 43 years old from Thunder Bay, has been arrested and charged with the following offences:

  •  Possession of Schedule I substance for purpose of Trafficking - CDSA 5(2) X3
  •  Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000 - CC 354(1)(a)

John Harrison, 39 years old from Thunder Bay, has been arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of Schedule I substance for purpose of Trafficking -CDSA 5(2) X3
  • Possession of Schedule I substance - CDSA 4(1)
  • Possession of a prohibited device - CC 92(2)
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000 - CC 354(1)(a)
  • Careless storage of a Firearm - CC 86(1)

Mackenzie Ogima, 21 years old from Thunder Bay, has been arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of Schedule I substance for purpose of Trafficking - CDSA 5(2) X3
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000 - CC 354(1)(a)
