The 2022 Walleye Weekend has been cancelled. 

The Sioux Lookout Walleye Weekend committee announced their decision on Wednesday, June 1. In a Facebook post, the committee listed extremely high-water levels, boat launch access/logistics, and safety concerns as the reason behind the cancellation.  

The committee expressed their sincere apologies and stated that they understand the frustration.  

Moving forward, teams who had entered the tournament will have two options when it comes to their already paid fees.  

  • The committee will issue a full refund should you wish, via a mailed cheque.  

  • Teams who wish to participate in the 2023 tournament can choose to have their fees carried forward to the next year. They will also start at the same or at a better starting position depending on the number of teams who request a refund.  

Anyone who has registered and paid their fees is asked to contact the committee via email to state your choice regarding your fees.
