The Northwestern Health Unit has reported three new cases of COVID-19 in the region.
Two new cases have been reported in the Sioux Lookout Health Hub area and one new case in the Kenora Health Hub area.
Provincewide, 1,546 new cases were reported on Tuesday.
Follow up with the persons involved and their contacts have started according to protocol. Anyone who is identified as a contact for these cases will be contacted directly.
NWHU recommends that everyone assume COVID-19 is in their community and practise preventive measures like physical distancing, wearing a mask in enclosed public spaces and when physical distancing is a challenge, good hand hygiene, and not touching their face. Anyone who has symptoms, or who has been in contact with a positive case, should self-isolate and get tested.
Today marks the 29th straight day at least one case of COVID-19 was reported in the district.
