Frontline staff with the Northwestern Health Unit have received another 6 reports of positive COVID-19 cases across their catchment area today, marking a string of 23 days of new cases announced.

These cases include 2 in the Kenora area, 2 in the Dryden area and 2 in the Sioux Lookout area.

As of March 17, the NWHU had reported a total of 591 confirmed cases and 1 death since last March, with 61 cases currently considered active. They include 39 in Kenora, 17 in Sioux Lookout, 3 in Dryden, and 1 in each of Fort Frances and Atikokan.

Everyone is asked to assume COVID-19 is spreading in your community, and to self-isolate, get tested and remain in isolation until your test results are known.
