Ted Lake, Ralph Potter, June McNally, and Tim Gadd of Dryden along with Kenora’s Jessica Scott are bronze medalists after competing in the Inter Provincial 5-pin bowling Championships in Kelowna over the weekend. They made it to the semi-finals where they fell to British Columbia. They bowled against Team Manitoba "B" and earned third in the tournament. Manitoba "A" earned gold, while B.C got silver. 

Team Szajewsky of the Keewatin Curling Club are returning home from Thunder Bay after competing in the 2022 Northern Ontario Senior Women's Provincial Curling Championships. They entered the competition on a tough note conceding both their games against Team Beaudry of Fort Frances and Team Laroque of Thunder Bay. They redeemed themselves with a win over Fort in their next game. They entered the finals against Team Laroque, but ultimately fell 6-9, earning second. The team out of Keewatin consists of Stacy Szajewski, Hayley Smith, Donna Queen and Susan Cain. 

In the N-H-L, the Edmonton Oilers had their four-game losing streak snapped in a 5-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Winnipeg Jets extended the Colorado Avalanche's loss streak to four games with a 4-1 win, the Boston Bruins defeated the Montreal Canadiens 5-3 and the Toronto Maple Leafs came back to beat the Washington Capitals 4-3 in a shootout.

The Toronto Raptors will look to stay alive once again when they square off with the 76ers tonight in Philadelphia in Game 5 of their first-round series

Rookie Jeremy Pena hit a two-run homer in the 10th inning and Houston beat Toronto 8-7 to avoid a sweep. The Astros snapped a four-game skid and ended Toronto's four-game winning streak. The Jays next open a four-game series with the Boston Red Sox tonight back home at Rogers Centre when Jose Berrios will get the start.
