Kenora's Jamie Bruce is following in the footsteps of Jeff "Gussy" Gustafson. Bruce placed third at the 2022 St. Croix Bassmaster Southern Open in Tennessee over the weekend. He caught his two-day limit weighing in at 34 pounds and 7 ounces. It was another Canadian who took first. Cooper Gallant reeled in 36 pounds one ounce for the top spot.
The Sioux Lookout Fire Department are this year's Battle of the Badges champions. The annual charity hockey tournament between the Fire Department and the Sioux Lookout OPP raised over $2,000, which will go towards a bursary in Sierra Hoppe's name. Sierra was active in the Sioux Lookout hockey community before passing away at the young age of 14 in late February.
