A newly discovered asteriod has a chance of hitting earth, on a day reserved for love.
NASA says 2023 DW, as of right now, has about a one in 560 chance, of colliding with earth on Valentine’s Day 2046.
The asteroid is just over the size of two tennis courts and orbits the sun about every 271 days.
The space agency says the odds of it hitting earth are extremely small.
About 10 years ago a meteor the size of an SUV meteor exploded over Russia, causing million in damages.
We've been tracking a new asteroid named 2023 DW that has a very small chance of impacting Earth in 2046. Often when new objects are first discovered, it takes several weeks of data to reduce the uncertainties and adequately predict their orbits years into the future. (1/2) pic.twitter.com/SaLC0AUSdP
