Dryden’s Royal Canadian Legion is continuing to ask for the community’s support as they try to survive the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Royal Canadian Legion is a not-for-profit, membership-based organization. In typical years, Funding comes from membership dues, renting out the building, fundraising events, the club room which is open to the public year round, as well as public grants.

Due to COVID-19, Legions around Canada were shutdown for many months, and have only recently been able to reopen their lounge areas with limited hours of operation. The Dryden Royal Canadian Legion is open Tuesday through Thursday nights, as well as Friday and Saturday’s.

The Dryden Legion has been operating a GoFundMe campaign to help them with their costs since July, which has raised over $13,300 out of their $30,000 goal. You can find the link to donate below.

Dryden Remembrance Day services will be held virtually tomorrow, and will be broadcast live on Shaw TV in Dryden.
