The Northwestern Health Unit has reported ten cases of COVID-19.

Six new cases have been reported in the Kenora region and four new cases have been reported in the Sioux Lookout region.

contacts have started according to protocol. Anyone who is identified as a contact for these cases will be contacted directly.

NWHU recommends that everyone assume COVID-19 is in their community and practise preventive measures like physical distancing, wearing a mask in enclosed public spaces and when physical distancing is a challenge, good hand hygiene, and not touching their face. Anyone who has symptoms, or who has been in contact with a positive case, should self-isolate and get tested.

The Northwestern Health Unit will be moving into Red-Control tier of the Keeping Ontario Safe and Open Framework effective Monday, March 15 at 12:01 a.m.
