The Dryden High School Eagles (3-0) took to the gridiron yesterday (October 8, 2021) and extended their winning streak to three with a 13-1 victory over the Fort Frances Muskies (1-2).
It took until the second quarter for the first points of the game as the Eagles Peter Zilkalns connected on a 47 yard pass to Fynn Livingston to take the lead.
The Muskies only point of the game came after their punt went through the end zone for the single.
The game remained close until Carter McKinstry returned a punt 43 yards for a touchdown to extend the Eagles lead.
The Eagle defense did the rest with Jett Livingston, Karson BIbeau, and Neil Rafter flying to the football and Cale Wright getting consistent pressure on the Muskie QB.
The Beaver Brae Broncos will take on the Muskies next week looking for their first win of the season. The regular season ends the following week with the Broncos hosting the Eagles for the season finale.
The football semi-finals will take place on October 29, 2021, with the league final on November 5, 2021.
