The community is showing its support to a Kenora family, who is grieving after the loss of 16-year-old Juan Miguel Tan (Rondilla).

The Kenora O.P.P. reported the discovery of the young man after he had gone missing from Town Island on Lake of the Woods. He was reported missing Sunday after last being seen early that morning while on a camping trip with friends. No foul play was suspected.

A Kenora resident set up a GoFundMe page to assist Juan's family with funeral costs.

"Juan was loved by all that knew him, always quick to share a smile in his quiet way. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and leave a great void in the lives of all of them," says Tim Gosnell in the funding page's summary.

The original goal of the GoFundMe was $10,000.00 to go towards the family, but donations have flooded in and the page has raised over $16,000.00 (at the time or writing)

"Please consider donating if you are able to do so. We are grateful for every donation during this challenging time," adds Gosnell.
