The Progressive Conservatives have won the provincial election, and will form a majority government. Doug Ford has been named Premier of Ontario.

Ford was a city councillor for Toronto between 2010 and 2014, and is the owner of Deco Labels and Tags. He announced that he would seek the leadership of the PC party in January, following Patrick Brown’s sudden resignation. He won the leadership in March, and has visited northwestern Ontario multiple times, saying that help is on its way.
