The Dryden Fire Service responded to a basement fire on Ross Street yesterday afternoon (Thursday, June 8.).

Approximately eighteen crew members and eight apparatus attended the fire shortly after 12:30 p.m.

The fire service says, "crews conducted an offensive attack, and with high heat and heavy smoke were successful in locating and extinguishing the fire in the basement."

No injuries were reported and at the time of publishing the cause of the fire remains unknown.
