The Fort Frances Muskies started the Winnipeg High School Football League season  in impressive fashion.

The Muskies downed their NorWOSSA cousins, the Dryden Eagles 47-7 Friday afternoon at home.

The lone bright spot for the Eagles was a 92 yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Keegan MacLeod in the first half.

Otherwise it was all Muskies as they scored both offensively and defensively.

The Eagles now head home next week for a game against the Churchill Bulldogs while the Muskies host Tec Voc.

The Hornets were shutout in their first game of the season 42-0 by Beaver Brae on Thursday.
