Chris Zilinski at Lake of the Woods Sports Headquarters can't wait to get out in the boat.
"It's been a fantastic season so far," he added, noting he's been having success, regardless of the species.
"Tips on fishing after a thunder storm? Always the walleye bite's going to be really hot. Fish get really active after a storm. They generally move up into the shallows a little bit in 12 to 18 feet of water. Usually just a jig and a minnow or a jig and a worm. Always hammer 'em after a thunderstorm," he said.
Zilinski adds muskie season opens this weekend, and the fishing's been good.
