One Sioux Lookout boy is fighting something no child should ever have to battle, childhood cancer.
Jackson Bramwell Hindy is a smart 7-year-old boy from Sioux Lookout who enjoys dinosaurs, video games and laughing. His life was forever changed on June 23, 2022, when doctors discovered he had Ewing’s Sarcoma in his face.
Ewing’s Sarcoma is a very rare cancer that requires fast action and aggressive treatment.
Jackson, his parents Jeff and Harriet, along with three siblings, will have to move to Winnipeg so that Jackson can undergo aggressive treatment at Health Sciences Centre.
Jackson’s treatment will include chemotherapy, surgery, and many investigations. He is expected to begin chemotherapy next week, immediately followed by surgery. He will be required to stay in the hospital for 2-5 days every second week during his year of chemotherapy treatments.
Jackson and his family are beginning a very long and challenging journey so in an effort to ease some of the financial stress his parents are under, a GoFundMe page has been set up in his name.
