The final series is set.
The Dryden GM Ice Dogs will be taking on the Thunder Bay North Stars for the Bill Salonen Cup in the Superior International Junior Hockey League's playoff final series. The first game will be at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, and the second game is at 4 p.m. on Sunday. Both of the first two games will be played at the Dryden Memorial Arena.
Thunder Bay reached the finals last night after winning the fourth game of a best-of-seven series over the Thief River Falls Norskies. Thief River finished second in the regular season two point back of Dryden at 86. Thunder Bay finished third.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Dryden has made the finals and the Dogs are looking to keep the Bill Salonen Cup at home for another year.
