The Dryden GM Ice Dogs are down in the SIJHL playoffs.
They fell to the North Stars in Thunder Bay last night in game three. The North Stars now lead the best-of-seven series 2-1.
Ice Dogs' Trey Palermo got the opening goal in the first, but in the second, Logan Mihalcin and Ryan Migneault of Thunder Bay answered back with a goal each making it a 2-1 final.
Things got heated at the end of the game as Kurt Walsten, head coach for the Ice Dogs, was allegedly assaulted by North Stars forward, Avery Siau. Walsten was not seriously injured.The Thunder Bay Police Service are investigating the incident. SIJHL Commissioner Bryan Graham was in attendance at the game.
Game four goes tonight back in Thunder Bay.
