The Dryden GM Ice Dogs (16-8-1-0) will be looking for their 13th win in a row as they host the third-place Red Lake Miners (15-3-2-0) for their last game before the Christmas break.

The Ice Dogs' last loss was a 3-2 decision to the first place Kam River Fighting Walleye (19-3-1-0) back on November 6, 2021.

This will be the fifth meeting of the season between these two clubs. Red Lake currently leads the season series winning three of four meetings.

The only win for Dryden GM against the Miners was a 3-2 overtime decision back on October 2, 2021.

The Ice Dogs are coming off a sweep of the Fort Frances Lakers (2-16-0-0) last weekend that extended their win streak to ten games.

Red Lake is coming off a sweep of their own as they traveled down to Wisconsin last weekend and took both games against the Lumberjacks handily by scores of 12-2, and 6-1 that extended their win streak to five games.

Leading the Ice Dogs offensively through the first 25 games is forward Maxime Collette who is having a career year with a league-leading 40 points including 24 goals.

For the Miners, they are led by forward Jordan Baranesky who is coming into tonight’s game with 31 points.

Puck drop for tonight’s affair will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Dryden Memorial Arena.
