The Keewatin Patricia District School Board is preparing their summer learning programs for students.
Director of Education Sherri-Lynne Pharand talked about what they're setting up for elementary level students.
"We already have planned some elementary summer learning programs that will run. They're focused on literacy, because as you know literacy is the foundation for learning. They are for Grades 1 to 3, and will run August 4 to 2,"
The program will take place at Open Roads School in Dryden, King George School in Kenora, and Ear Falls Public School.
She also talked about their plans for secondary students.
"At the secondary level we plan to offer credit rescue programs for students who need some extra time or support in order to complete credits or stay on track," she explained.
Pharand says they're hoping to open up the program for more students once the province announces their summer learning supports.
