After a nationwide search, the Lac Seul Police will have a new Chief of Police.  

The Lac Seul Police Service Board recently announced that they have selected Bruno Rossi as their new Chief of Police.  

Rossi will bring 25 years of operational and administrative experience to his role. He is the current Inspector of Support Services for the Manitoba First Nations Police Service (MNFPS) in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. Rossi has extensive experience working with various First Nation communities throughout his policing career.  

Between June 2020 and November 2021, Rossi was the Acting Chief of Police for the MNFPS.  

Rossi is set to move into his new role on May 2, 2022. A swearing-in ceremony will be announced at a later date.  

Staff Sergeant Jason Spooner has been the Acting Chief of Police for the Lac Seul Police department since 2018.
