Local hunters are reminded to place their game seal onto any kill. Dryden resident Justin Eddison is facing a $1,500 fine for not doing so.
Court heard that on November 10, 2017, a conservation officer with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry stopped at Eddison’s residence while conducting routine enforcement duties, and determined that Eddison had harvested a deer on November 7. He had not affixed his deer seal to the deer. The animal was seized and forfeited to the Crown.
Eddison plead guilty and was fined $1,500 for failing to immediately attach a seal to a deer, which is a hunting offence under the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act.
