If you've got a heavy load to haul, you might want to check ahead.
The City of Kenora and the City of Dryden are reminding the public that reduced load restrictions are in effect. The restrictions are necessary to protect highways, streets and roads from damage during mild, wet spring conditions.
In Kenora, signs are posted on each of the impacted roads to notify motorists of the restrictions. The following roads are subject to the spring load restriction.
The restrictions are in place for all of the City of Dryden, but there are a few exceptions.
- Highway 17
- Highway 594 / Duke Street
- Hearst Avenue
- Gordon Road
- Marguerite Street
- Earl Avenue – Queen Street to Duke Street
Dryden residents are asked to contact Public Works at 1-807-223-2367 if they have any questions or concerns. Kenora residents are asked to contact City Hall at 1-807-467-2000.
