Who let the dogs out? Not the OPP.

A Kenora resident’s Twitter post has become a viral sensation. Emme Thompson’s photo of her dog looking less than impressed after being put in the back of an OPP cruiser has led to messages from around the world. As of the time of writing, Thompson’s original twitter post has 184,273 Retweets and 633,221 Likes.

Emme’s father Reid Thompson was walking his dog Finn on Tunnel Island, when he decided to let Finn of of his leash. Thompson said that usually Finn is fine off-leash, but after smelling a deer, he took off.

The OPP picked Finn up for causing a scene while chasing the deer, and Reid couldn’t resist the photo opportunity. Emme then posted the photo on Twitter.

“My dad sent me the photo later that day and I couldn’t stop laughing, so I decided to share it with my followers,” Emme said.

“I had no idea it would blow up how it did! The response has been insane. I was worried people would think he was dangerous, but mostly they were just concerned about Finn. I’ve received literally thousands of messages from people all around the world asking me if he’s okay.”

Thankfully, Finn was let off with a warning.
