The puck drops tonight at the Saddledome in Game One of the best-of-seven N-H-L Western Conference semifinal between the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers. Elsewhere on the ice tonight, the Carolina Hurricanes host the New York Rangers in Game One of their series. In the first round against the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Rangers became the first team in N-H-L history to post three straight comeback wins in a series when facing elimination. Carolina won three of the four regular-season meetings with New York.
Last night, the Avalanche put over 55 shots on Jordan Binnington as he lead the Blues late into Overtime, but Josh Mansons shot from the blue line sealed game 1 for the Avalanche. And the Lightning had a decisive 4-1 victory over the Panthers in the battle of Florida. Those 4 teams will hit the ice again tomorrow night.
