The Northwestern Health Unit has reported 10 new cases of COVID-19 across the district.
Four new cases are in each the Kenora and Rainy River Health Hubs and one new case is in each the Dryden and Emo Health Hubs.
There are currently 75 active cases in the region. There are currently 33 active cases in the Kenora area, 20 active cases in the Fort Frances area, 8 active cases in the Sioux Lookout area, 5 active cases in each the Emo and Rainy River areas, 2 active cases in the Dryden area, 1 active case in each the Atikokan and Red Lake areas.
Follow-ups with those involved and their contacts have started, and anyone identified as a contact for these cases will be reached directly by public health staff.
Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms or who has been in contact with a positive case of the virus is asked to immediately self-isolate, get tested and remain in isolation until your test results are known.
Today marks the 70th straight day of COVID-19 cases being announced in the region.
