The Northwestern Health Unit has reported eight new cases of COVID-19 across the district.
Seven new cases are in the Kenora Health Hub and one new case in the Emo Health Hub.
There are currently 62 active cases in the region. There are currently 28 active cases in the Kenora area, 13 active cases in the Sioux Lookout area, 11 active cases in the Fort Frances area, 6 active cases in the Rainy River area, 3 active cases in the Emo area, 1 active case in the Dryden area.
Follow-ups with those involved and their contacts have started, and anyone identified as a contact for these cases will be reached directly by public health staff.
Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms or who has been in contact with a positive case of the virus is asked to immediately self-isolate, get tested and remain in isolation until your test results are known.
Today marks the 73rd straight day of COVID-19 cases being announced in the region.
