Staff with the City of Dryden are working to reopen the outdoor Milestone Rink.

During a virtual council meeting earlier this week, Community Services Manager Steve Belanger says staff have started to make the ice on the rink, and it’s expected to open up this weekend.

“Milestone will be ready by this weekend, but in the interim, we are asking all residents to refrain from going on the ice surface until we announce that it’s actually ready and safe for play.”

Belanger adds that due to COVID-19 restrictions, the warm-up shack will be closed for the foreseeable future.
