The Kenora OPP is reporting a multi-vehicle collision on the Highway 17 bypass near the intersection of Reddit Road involving tractor-trailer units.
The collision was reported around 12 p.m. Central and traffic control is in place.
Another collision is being reported near East Mellick Road and Jones Road. The OPP says injuries have been reported, but they are non-life-threatening.
Multiple collisions have been reported on Highway 17 today and it could be shut down by the Ministry at any point. Residents are asked to use extreme caution and to avoid travel if at all possible.
As a result, Highway 17 all the way from Highway 105 in Vermilion Bay to the Highway 17-A junction at the Redditt Road (Highway 658) has been closed due to poor road and weather conditions.
