An Eagle Lake First Nation family is in need. Their house was lost to a fire yesterday.
Volunteer firefighters from Oxdrift responded to the fire at 6:30 p.m. last night. The house was fully engulfed on arrival, with all occupants of the building outside. No word yet on the cause of the fire, but there were no injuries.
Oxdrift had 10 firefighters on scene and called for volunteer firefighters from the Wabigoon Fire Department to attend the scene with their portable cascade system.
