Parents should be contacted in the coming weeks to collect students belongings from schools, according to Keewatin Patricia District School Board Director of Education Sherri-Lynne Pharand.

"In the coming weeks we will be having a process that will be communicated to families, that's approved by the medical officer of health for our region, to go in and collect their student's belongings," she said.

Students will not be returning to the classroom this school year.

Depending on the status of the pandemic and COVID-19 in Ontario, students should be returning to school in September.
