The prime minister has offered his condolences, following the loss of Mark and Jacob Lugli of Dryden. They passed away in a collision on the Trans-Canada last month.

Mark's sister Monique Lugli serves as the chief of staff for the federal minister for health, Ginette Petitpas Taylor.

Mark Lugli was 54, and he had been serving as the principal of St. Joe's. His son Jacob, 17, had just graduated from Dryden High School, where he was male athlete of the year.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said the Luglis will be 'tremendously missed,' describing him as a nighbour husband and dad. Jacob was recalled as a friend, brother and beloved son

"We will remember them for their deep sense of community and generous spirits, for they touched the love of so many," said the prime minister.

They are survived by Mark's wife Lynn, along with their children Alex, Zach and Gabby.
