RTOERO District 35 (Retired Teachers of Ontario) has partnered with the Dryden Branch of Kenora-Rainy River Districts Child and Family Services, to provide hand crafted quilts and crocheted blankets for children and families in need.

District 35 Members, along with the Sunset Country Quilters Guild and other community quilters, donated 31 quilts and blankets to be given to children who come into foster care. A bright new quilt is something these kids can be proud to own, and keep with them.

RTOERO membership includes retired workers from all parts of the education sector. Each District works hard to connect with their local communities. The quilts collected by RTOERO District 35 will be kept on hand at the Dryden Child and Family Services office, and will be provided to children and families as required.
