Ontario Premier Doug Ford confirmed yesterday that school closures across the province will last a bit longer.
"So, school will not be going back on May the 4th, and the minister will be talking further on this in the next couple of days. Just to confirm, students will not be going back on May the 4th," he said yesterday.
"That does not mean the year is cancelled," the premier emphasized.
A special session at Queen's Park was held yesterday, in part to extend emergency measures put in place for the coronavirus outbreak.
Schools have been closed since the March Break.
