The Northwestern Health Unit has reported no new cases of COVID-19 in the region.
Currently, there are 9 active cases of COVID-19 connected to the NWHU catchment area. Three in the Dryden/Red Lake Region and six in the Rainy River Region.
According to the Health Unit website, a total of 1,148 cases have been reported since April 2020 with 1,139 of those cases resolved
NWHU recommends that everyone, including those who have been vaccinated, assume COVID-19 is in their community and practice preventive measures like physical distancing, wearing a mask in enclosed public spaces and when physical distancing is a challenge, good hand hygiene, and not touching their face. Anyone who has symptoms, or who has been in contact with a positive case, should self-isolate and get tested.
