The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is continuing to work to keep the community safe from COVID-19, but staff have been allowed to reopen some outdoor areas in the community.

“The health and well-being of everyone residing in Sioux Lookout is of paramount importance to the Municipality,” noted Mayor Doug Lawrance.

Effective immediately, the following outdoor areas are available for use with certain restrictions:

- Picnic areas are open. Physical distancing must be followed at all times. There is a maximum of five users at one time, and no large gatherings are permitted. Only one person is allowed to sit at the table, unless they are from the same household. Picnic tables and benches must remain 2 metres apart.

- The Skateboard Park is open. Physical distancing must be followed at all times, with a maximum amount of users of five. Use of the facility is prohibited if you are ill.
