Friday night racing at Lake of the Woods Speedway was an excellent display of driving from all three classes.

For a second week in a row the Q104 WISSOTA midwest modified #4b of Brandon Rehill dominated in the feature race, with Ed Bell’s #14 in second and Sioux Lookout’s #10d of Pat Davis in third.

The WISSOTA pure stocks had a rookie driver, Alexander Farr take the chequered flag in their 20 lap feature. This was Farr’s first feature win in the pure stock class.

He was dominant last year as a 4 cylinder driver, who in the off-season purchased his pure stock and has been a top contender this season.

With last minute sponsorship money, Farr decided earlier in the day to make the trip to Kenora and that decision paid off.

The 4 cylinder class had a great battle in their main event with the #28 of Brodie McGowan taking the feature win.

Racing returns for week 3 next Friday - July 15, with hot laps at 7:00pm and racing at 7:20pm

Lake of the Woods Speedway is located at 556 Jones Road.
