Local police have identified the body found on a nearby First Nation to be the body of a missing teen. Autumn Andy was reported missing on June 12, and the 15-year-old’s body was found on June 13.
On June 13, the Treaty Three Police Service requested the assistance of the OPP regarding a missing 15-year-old female from Big Grassy River First Nation, near Nestor Falls.
Members of the North West Region Emergency Response Team and a Canine Unit, as well as North West Region Crime Unit members attended the community later in that day. At 7:45 p.m., the body of a female was located behind the outdoor skating rink on Beach Road.
As a result, the T3PS, OPP and Forensic Identification Services are investigating the circumstances surrounding the teen’s death. A post mortem examination has been completed at the Office of the Chief Coroner and Forensic Pathology Service in Toronto. The results are not being made public.
Police wish to remind all members of the public to be aware of their personal safety at all times.

Police in Kenora are still searching for a missing teen. 15-year-old James Fleury-Wolke was last seen on June 10, near Valley Drive.
