A local family lost their home to a fire on Anton Road in Dryden yesterday. Oxdrift Fire Chief Donna Cockle said that the scene was a ‘total loss’, with the home, the garage and a vehicle all damaged beyond repair.

Firefighters from the Oxdrift Fire Department, the Dryden Fire Service and crews with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry all responded to the fire around 4 p.m. yesterday afternoon.

The family was home during the fire, but no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, and is under investigation.
