A set of expired plates have led to drug charges for a Dryden resident.
Yesterday, officers with the Dryden Police Service stopped an SUV on Machin Avenue for having expired licence plates. An investigation revealed that the driver was a Disqualified Driver and was in violation of numerous court orders from three different provinces. During the arrest, police located a small quantity of methamphetamine.
Dryden resident Gregory Francis Huckle, 46, has been charged with:
- Possession of methamphetamine,
- Driving while disqualified,
- Seven counts of failing to comply with court orders.
Huckle is currently in custody and awaiting a bail hearing in Sioux Lookout tomorrow.
