A 19 and a 22-year-old from Winnipeg are facing a number of charges after being busted with nearly $20,000 of illegal drugs and two firearms in the Sioux Lookout area.

The Sioux Lookout OPP says on Saturday around noon, officers were dispatched to a report of an assault at an apartment on Third Avenue North. Police attended and located two individuals in possession of illegal substances, Canadian currency and firearms.

Following an investigation, the OPP seized an estimated $19,000 of cocaine and methamphetamine, $3,000 in Canadian currency, a loaded handgun and a modified rifle.

As a result, 22-year-old Damion A. White of Winnipeg, MB has been charged with:

- x 2 Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking,
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime,
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm,
- Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling House,

The accused was remanded into custody and is set to appear in Kenora courts tomorrow to answer to the charges.

As well, 19-year-old Koalt Z. Meade of Winnipeg, MB has been charged with:

- x 2 Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking,
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime,
- x 2 Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm,
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number Has Been Tampered With,
- 3 x Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order,
- Assault with a Weapon,

The accused was remanded into custody and appeared in courts today to answer to the charges.
