Two classrooms in Sioux Lookout, that were closed last night, are able to reopen beginning on Thursday, March 18.

Late Tuesday night, leadership with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board received notification that a student at Sioux Mountain Public School and a student at Sioux North High School tested positive for COVID-19 and as a result, a classroom at each school was closed.

The Northwestern Health Unit has determined that there is no risk of exposure to students or staff in either school and as a result, the classrooms will be reopened tomorrow.

Those families and staff in the classes that are reopening have been contacted by school board staff to welcome them back to in-person learning tomorrow.
