The Northwestern Health Unit has confirmed that two residents have tested positive for COVID-19 in the area.

Health unit staff say the cases and their possible contacts are being followed-up with, as per protocols. These cases bring the region’s overall COVID-19 total to 27 cases, and 22 of them are resolved.

The NWHU is recommending that all residents assume that COVID-19 is in your community, and to practice preventative measures like physical distancing and hand hygiene.

If you would like to get tested for COVID-19, the health unit says you should contact your local assessment centre as soon as possible.
