It was a fluid off-season for the Dryden GM Ice Dogs in July.

After a number of commitments from notable players, head coach and general manager Kurt Walsten also decided to stick with the Ice Dogs. He signed on for another five years. However, Vice-President Colleen Oliphant resigned from the Ice Dogs. She continues to be an avid community, local hockey and Ice Dogs supporter.

Dryden residents were also able to shut down Whyte Avenue for the Dryden Strongman competition, with two days of events for people of all ages.
