You may have woken up to come crazy weather this morning. Meteorologist Gerold Cheng talked about the severe thunderstorm warning the region woke up to.

"Basically we're tracking the thunderstorms that are rolling through the Kenora area. We've had reports of loonie sized hail, as well as some very strong winds as well. As well some very heavy rain to accompany the thunderstorm, up to 50 millimetres is possible," he said.

Cheng said the rain is expected to let up around noon, but there is still a thunderstorm watch in effect.

"There is still a risk of thunderstorms this afternoon, and even into the evening hours," he said.

Cheng said there are a couple storm systems headed our way over the next few days, which should make for a wet weekend.
