Snowmobilers are justified, when they say we aren't getting as much snow as we used to seeing at this time of year. Gerald Cheng of Environment Canada says the northwest has seen about half the normal level of precipitation.
He adds last month saw some extremes, in terms of temperature. After a warm start, it quickly changed to chilly weather in the northwest. Cheng adds the warmer weather could stick around for the weekend, if not a few days longer.
